A poem about thankfulness.

Thankfulness is being at peace
In what you have and in who you are.
Set at ease
Is your heart.

Thankfulness is knowing you’re taken care of
Even when you don’t have everything.
It’s knowing you have everything you need, and that’s enough
In all things, you can sing.

Thankfulness is a warmth that fills your spirit,
Content in things small.
A laugh when you need to hear it,
A smile to help you through it all.

Thankfulness is knowing where you’ve come from,
And simply doing your best
To honor God’s love.
To know you are blessed.

Thankfulness is a soft heart,
Opened to giving your time.
To give a dream its start,
Finding its perfect rhyme.

Thankfulness is finding treasure
In everyday life.
There is no measure
When a thankful heart becomes light.

Beautiful, and I think, it’s also highlighting a value, which is most needed in these days, and should be more treasured than ever.

Beautiful – I especially like the line “Thankfulness is finding treasure in everyday life.” When we are always seeking what we don’t have, and feeling sorry for ourselves because we see treasure out there that we think we deserve, we can never be happy. But if we are thankful for what we have, and see the treasure in our everyday life, then we will be in position to receive God’s blessings.
