I dedicate this poem to Susan B. Anthony.

Oh Susan, I wish you were here now.

Just to see how your statement of “Men & Women are created equal.”

Oh Susan, we have traveled so far from the right to vote.

Encouraged us to do jobs women were not aloud to, but we’ve taken our stand for equality.

And we are now equal.

Oh Susan, you did so well, I hope you can tell from heaven how far the simple right to vote & equality has gone.

Oh Susan, I only have one question, if you didn’t do it who would?

Heck, if you hadn’t done this then, I wouldn’t be here writing my thanks with the freedoms I most enjoy.

All that is left now is Thanks Mrs. Susan B. Anthony, we’re thankful for our freedom battle for equality.
