A dance of a life time.

That dance,
It was years ago, I still remember,
Kim Novak on the screen, ‘’clap, clap’’,
It was a clap dance, can’t you see.
Come someone dance with me.
I nearly got up from my seat and then,
Some one pulled me down,
Where do you think you are going?
You clown.
I forgot that she was on the screen,
And in her hand I had held my hand,
As if ‘twere in a dream
Then it was the turn of ‘My Fair Lady’,
Audrey Hepburn was perhaps maybe,
The queen of her times and on the screen,
Whenever we saw her, we all did scream.
When she was walked onto the floor,
I could hold it no more,
For I did her adore,
So I ran nearer the screen, perhaps,
If it becomes a tap dance,
I would be the one with the first chance.
Then later as years rolled by,
A young teenager came and stood by,
Like friend Ruther Franc, he was shaking,
But without any mistaking, I held his hand.
Took him to the dance floor,
He sat down on the floor,
He was all wet inside,
So himself he needed to hide.
Then once again this cutee came, to me
Will you aunty dance with me.
What aunty who are you I’m no lesbian,
Why are you?
She was a young cute one,
So I took pity, and walked her to the floor.
Oh my how did she spin, all lookers by,
She floored, she danced all the way,
All by herself,
I could feel embarrassed,
There was no need of me.
So have all dances ended in my life,
Come dance with me any one,
Will any Triondite tonight.
My, neither cell you know not,
Nor do you know me,
But anyone who can make it,
A dance is all that be it.
