What lies inside.

I have strength

I have determination

I have power and concentration

I have family

I have all their love

I have spirit from forces above

I have knowledge

I have strong will

I have a destiny to fulfill

So go ahead and take your pound of flesh

Cut this disease from within my breast

I have cancer

But that is not all I have…

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had such horrible news, but your strength is shining through in this poem. I agree, a very intense write, because you are no doubt experiencing very intense feelings. Thinking of you, and hoping you can remain as positive as possible throughout your treatment. Keep sharing your feelings, I’m sure it helps.
