Times are changing very fast, with this fast pase we have forgotten many things m the most important thing we forget is proper care of our parents.

Is there any one who can hear  me ?

Nobody is attending me.

I need water , I am hungry.

Where are my family members ?

I can listen some voices coming from drawing room .

Perhaps some guest is there.

But why nobody comes to me ?

 i am an old man.

When i was young ,

i worked , enjoyed my life like a king.

Now everything has been changed .

 my family just ignores me.

 no one sits with me.

No one understands my needs.

My son says i am short tempered.

my daughter in law says i am impatient.

My grand child says i don’t have manners.

When i was young people use to admire my behavior.

People use to copy my mannerisms.

Now what has happened ?

Am i changed ?

I always served my parents from the core of my heart ,

I use to spend time with them,

I use to take food with them.

I never gave any bad example to my children.

i given them the best education in the best schools.

 than what went wrong.

times are changing so fast .

am i  not able to under stand the pace of time.

values

moral

characters

humanity

is every definition is changing.

is it written in note books , not to look after the old parents

what went wrong ?

can any body tell me ?

can any body tell me ?

Please ask your self…

We should be careful how we treat the elderly. If we are blessed to live that long, one day we will all walk in this man’s shoes.

Your poem reminds me of my two late grandmothers who kept on saying that they are being neglected lately. But that’s not true,we love them so much. Sometimes I don’t know why old families became so sensitive.

Just have to accept in a positive way.

As Ruby says we all get old, if we are lucky… the youth of the planet… may be a bit out of sorts at the present times, with the global melt down, they will come around as soon as they realise… mom’s, and dads no best. cheers
