In all of today’s societies, recycling and saving our planet are in the foremost of everyone’s minds. I would like to challenge my fellow American’s with this poem and challenge.
Being an American in this land of the free,
A grave responsibility falls to me.
We have to keep her beautiful and come up with a plan
Recycle every product, whether paper, jar or can.
Her elements are dwindling and we have to help her now,
We have to reuse everything and show our children how.
We have to protect her mountains, her valleys and her streams
Without these precious resources, what would freedom mean?
I love her so this land of the free, these changes must begin with me.
