Many people have become blinded when given the fame and power, and forget where they have been and who they loved.

Flattering the blue sky

Were the angels whose wings were

like the breadth of the universe

clothed with silky white pearls

swaying across the heaven

but there was dark and silly one

whose wickedness had no end

she flickered like a fire

and reflected haughtiness

she fell down and lost everything

she could no longer mend.

I like the way this ends. Interesting, is this parallel to the fall of lucifer, or metaphorical to our times?

Hi, V Frost, and thanks. It’s metaphorical to our times.

Very true of our times- but sad that anyone gets to this position and then has to lose everything- I think they lose themselves somewhere too.

’she reflected haughtiness’…. so moving! I like your poem, too.
