This is a dedication poem for the late Billie Holiday. Ms Holiday was an artistic jazz singer who died on July 17, 1959. Diana ross portrayed her in a movie called Lady that Sings The Blues. This movie was made in 1972 before I was born but I love it and have admired Billie holiday ever since then.

You had grace.

you’re voice was like an angel.

Your smile gave hope.

The songs you sung were sweet to the ear.

Sorry that things went the way they did.

You rest in peace my dear.

Tears run down my face wishing that the world kept your grace.

Things seemed to get a hold on you. You still gave singers a real life view.

lady sings the blues I embraced the talents.

You will be remembered always!
