It was always there. All you needed was to listen.
If you wanted the answer, it was always there before.
But when I’m talking I can see your own words inside your head,
So I may as well be silent
And it doesn’t make a difference whether I tell you or not.
As if I could. As if we’re even on the same planet.
I’m screaming across the vacuum of space,
And all you do is brush the dust from your fingertips.
Did you think there was nothing inside me?
Snap, snap, snap,
Goes the terror. Gnawing at my innards, my throat.
Just in case I forget it’s there.
It’s always there.
The terror, the answer. They were both there.
But you didn’t see them. You didn’t know they were one.
