A short poem about a person involved in a siege situation.
The time strikes top, I begin to sigh.
The door opens, my end is nigh.
Blue and Red through the glass. I lift mine.
My mind wanders back to that time.
Shadows filter into the room.
I dive deeper into my gloom.
How did it come to this?
I supped deeper into the abyss.
I think back to when I was young and free.
And how my life seemed so rosy.
The shadows point their death.
I take my last breath.
I drop my solace, I raise my cure.
I call their cue, they seem so sure.
I look up and I grin wide.
I hear a click down by my side.
Your under arrest, get on your feet I hear them say.
I laugh, back to eternity.
