Taking one day at a time we could learn to appreciate and be grateful for every little thing in our lives. Just like the grass appreciates life with all its fullness. In return to all our gratitude with good tidings the riches meant for us do come. This is a special dedication to you!
Being grateful; Like grass
The sun shone this morning,
What a beautiful day, I must say
My heart raced with memories
Of once in tender age
Running free, skipping and sliding gratis
No worries I remember.
Like the grass in mine lawn
Once shaggy and untidy yet grateful
Neatened with a shave of a lawn mower
A beautiful sight it is
Receptive to amend,
With a smile, and a bow.
The greener she gets
The more the memoirs
Of the bloom in mine life!
A little compost here
An extra drop of water quenches her thirst,
And the morning that follows
She’s all green in cheer
With a twinkle in her eye;
“Thank you”
She greets me every morn.
She may shy the heat of the day,
But when dusk is here,
She shines again,
And welcomes the sparkly sky
Gathers the dew all night
The gift she wills to give to your in the morning
Awaiting the dawn once again;
To say “Thank you”
Yet another good morning
Dare to be grateful
Like grass
Showers of blessings you need
Will come and the wherewithal
Just because you are grateful
Like grass!
