A poem expressing the values of sincerity.
It is my life that up to now
I have ne’er been a sincere person
But a few seconds of sincerity how
Turned me into an earnest person
Is astonishing, but true fact it is.
Only, my friend, sincere you can turn
If your heart feels them with ease
The dews of sincerity; you’ll then learn
How the best of this universe lives.
The earnest you are the better you will be
As the moral of this universe; it gives
Us, that we survive since earnest some are.
May go my life but sincere I am
I am transitory but perennial is my sincerity
As transitory is water stored in a dam
But water ever the same: its sanctity
It possesses. And now it’s what on earth
Have to be sown- A few seeds
Of sincerity, for they may sprout into worth
Filled people and turn as them- even the weeds.
As sons and daughters of dear mother
Who have brought to land from heaven
The pearls of inspiration that they gather
To spread the shine out of which are driven
The qualities of sincerity: all have to desire.
And now on earth shall fire
The accumulated hearth of deadly wishes
Which are to men but venomous dishes.
