The average mind draws us all behind the line
To where excellance cannot excel and will be kept behind
By a critical, cynical crowd in a skeptics shroud
Where the slightest difference is betrayed by a chorus strong and loud
With a fortitude of complaints and soliloquize to strangle all efforts down
For it is always the gifted that the average mind tries to drown
Whose burial they wish foremost to attend
With claims, He could have been better with us, as play pretend
But think not he can live without us!
So the crowd will cry closing in with a daggers thrust
The average mind draws us in to circle wagons
Where undisciplined minds gathers crowds of furious dragons
To loot, to pillage what one fine mind has wrought
For in the average mind jealousy and envy has remained undisciplined and untaught
Spins a web in which ingenuity is caught then lost
Where art and culture itself pays the final cost
Of the average mind
