Offer me not of pseudo love.
Offer me not of pseudo love
the kind that never lasts.
Like a fancy jewel,
shines brightly
to last only a day.
Like castles in the sand,
magnificent and grand,
but as the gentle waves come,
the mighty castle no longer stands.
Like a burning coal,
ablaze in passion,
as lust consumed,
love charred and burned.
For you, I will offer a love that’s pure
no fancies, no flares.
A heart sincere,
no pretence, no schemes.
Compassionate eyes,
no hassles, no demands.
Gentle hands,
no danger, no harm.
A warmth smile,
no need of the sun.
This is my bargain
It is yours for the taking!
