I sat on the river bank enjoying the peace surrounding me.

Below the water gleamed in the sunshine.

A willow tree hung over the edge brushing the surface,

Its leaves reflecting in the mirror beneath its boughs.

A solitary trout basked in the shallows

Sleepily enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Upstream a family of ducks paddled along

The tiny offspring scurrying to keep up.

As I watched, the gentle motion of the water

Calmed all the stresses within me,

And I lay back beneath a shimmering blue sky

And dozed the afternoon away.

he is the judge
