Another year, another birthday, another day. The best gift comes from above.

Another year has rolled around.
Another birthday’s here.
I wonder what I’ll get for gifts
From everyone this year.

I”ll have the kitchen pantry.
That’s recently been built.
It looks the way I dreamed it should;
So both dream and pantry are filled.

From my girls, of which there’s three,
I might guess for what they’ve saved.
But i never have to guess their love,
They give me some each day.

From my sister and my brothers
I’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m sure their clever minds devise
Some surprise to honor me.

Will Mom and Dad each have a gift
To recognize my birth?
“You’re the daughter every parent wants,
There’s no limit of your worth!”

I have some friends who’ll think of me
Upon my special day.
But friendship is a gift we share
Between ourselves — always.

Yet the greatest birthday gift I get
Is from my Lord above.
Along with family and friends,
His salvation wrapped in love.
