What wonderful gifts you both have turned out to be
You both have been the answer to my wishes and that is for someone to love me

As I’ve watched you grow, every moment has touched my heart
Just the little things you do make me smile from ear to ear right from the start

Like the first time you both sat up or your first taste of green beans
The first time you laughed or the first time you sang your ABC’s

All these things touch my heart and I know that I could never live without
Not even when you get in trouble, do that thing with your lip and give that little pout

Or how you follow me around cause you love just to be in my presence
Words can’t explain how thankful I am for these two beautiful presents

I just can’t understand how some kids are neglected and abused
How could you harm a tiny little face or threaten to hurt a little person to?

Children are just so precious and the two that I have I would never want to lose
