A poem concerning a young criminal’s actions.

In the cell sits the blameless puppet;
A product of her childhood,
She was never given the chance to be good.

She makes excuses:
What chance did she have in life?
Passed around from one foster home to another –
And even if she hadn’t been,
Wouldn’t she still have ended up like her mum with those genes?

Nature versus nurture?

Either way, it’s not her fault.
