A Collection of Six Haikus.

I dreamt, a landscape

‘Tween the pale sheets of paper

Butterflies landed.

*

A notebook, all new

Pencil sharpened with shavings

I grind in first thoughts.

*

Empty canvas, now

Smears of wet paint flow, and soon

Galaxies rush in.

*

A run, a leap, air

The fawn dances wildly

Springtime’s creation.

*

Chilled October’s breath

The landscape is dying, and

Flows gold orange tears.

*

Listen, the rain falls

Gently upon streets tonight

Cars drive past puddles.
