            The future, the years ahead, can we look forward

            or live in dread?

           The prospects they appear to be bleak as tensions

           they increase week by week.

           Is it only a matter of time till the button is pressed

           the ultimate crime?

           The bombs they will come from out of the sky and

           millions and millions they will have to die.

           Some will die quick and some will die slow but rivers

           of blood they will surely flow.

           But isnt it ironic that those who decide will be safe

           in their shelters from the nuclear tide.

           That those that have caused the war to arrive will be the

           ones that live and survive. That those we have elected

           and placed our trust will escape the sea of deadly dust.

           Maybe that is as should be that they are the ones to

           return and see the results and consequences of their haste

           the death and destruction and wanton waste. Their

           ideological visions and dreams forever a nightmare of

          atomic screams.
