A bluebird makes his nest in this short free verse poem.
The Bluebird
Fluttering, flying far away
A bluebird makes its nest
With sticks and twigs and things about
The bluebird makes it’s nest
On the prowl for twine and string
Looking for a shiny thing
With these the bluebird makes his nest
Upon a far away tree
On the lookout for predator or prey
Constantly watching your every step
Your every move
As he makes his nest
Come too close and he’ll be gone
leaving the nest behind
Today the bluebird made a nest
then flew far, far far away
