Description of the boldest actor.

He blurred the distinction
between silver screen and life,
between male and female,
between good and bad
No matter if he was a police officer, a killer,
a manipulator, a cad, a psychiatrist or an opera singer
He perfected a role
by releasing his own passion and emotion
into the character he played
He lent his elegance, androgynous, narcissism, melancholic
his reputation, his singing talent, his beauty …
He has a certain quality
Something soft and delicate
The audiences identified him with.
He is the master,
the first choice to play a role
He is so handsome … almost heartbreakingly beautiful
with eyes that speak louder than gesture,
so he seldom to show expression
but he can be read all ways
Skin, nose, eyes, hair …
is the finest one
The physical commitment,
The fine gesture,
The emotional courage
has made him the boldest actor
of the cinema
It’s hard to find an actor in his quality.
May be in 100 years
there will be only an actor like him.
And he belongs to the passing of an era
Now we can only catch his bold performances
in his old films …
and in our dreams
because we remember he said confidently:
“You’ll see me tonight in your dreams.”

Very impressive. Who could you possibly be speaking about? I want to know

Thank you so much Joshua Miguel & Lauren Axelrod.

Lauren, I was speaking about all rounder Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing (1956-2003). A Chinese (Hong Kong) actor who won title “The Most Favourite Actor” of 100 years of Chinese cinema in 2005. If you have time, you could check some of his films: Bride With White Hair (as a sentimental swodman), Farewell My Concubine (as an opera singer) or Double Tap (as a killer).

A lovely tribute to Leslie Cheung…
To know him is to love him…
    Once you know him
you are unable to forget him…
    Once he has your heart
    it is forever…

Eunike, I can feel the pasion that you\’ve put into this creation. By reading it, it easily refreshes the memory that leslie had left us behind. By reading it, the blurred picture of leslie become more and more distinct as i go along the line.

    Thanks you so much!

happy birthday Leslie, I wish he now finds his happiness!
