Humorous poem about two crime fighters in search of villains to defeat.
Batman and Robin
Were cruising in the Batmobile.
They were looking for villains to pursue.
But the villains were all locked up in Arkham Asylum,
What’s a super hero to do?
It’s fun to be seen in a sleek car.
The costumes are groovy too.
But it’s boring to spin your wheels,
When there’s no fighting or pursing to do.
“Holy boredom,” sighed Robin.
“This hero thing is no longer fun.”
“Right you are,” agreed Batman.
“There are no villains on the run.”
Batman then announced to Robin,
“Let’s split Gotham City for now.
We’ll go somewhere else,
Where I can wear my cape and my cowl.
I hear that Metropolis is nice
It’s loaded with villains and crimes galore.”
So Batman and Robin drove off
Looking for a brand new score.
Little did they know
That in Metropolis they’d be also rans.
After all, you can’t compare
To the heroics of Superman.
