A beautiful caterpillar that all envy for its perfection, undergoes a transformation and becomes a hideous, brown butterfly. Friends are not always made for the correct reason.

There once was a caterpillar so fair.

In his looks he took great care.

And his peers found him a delight,

Smiled to him when he was in sight.

Then there came a day where within a cocoon,

They would transform themselves and life would resume.

But the caterpillar who went in so fair,

Came out looking brown, ugly, and bare.

He missed the times when ones would kneel,

At his very presence; a show he could steal.

Though now they laughed at him and mocked.

Beat him, and harassed him with dirty talk.

The brown one they called him: ugly, fat,

At his very sight, onlookers spat.

He lived a sad life that proved so hard,

He dwelled in a jail, hidden, and barred.

Until out came a friend, to lend him a hand,

Save him from the unforgiving land.

He cherished the poem that he had earned,

And spoke allowed what he had learned.

“The end has passed, it’s time to begin.

You shall never harm me again.”
