This poem is about a group of guys who build houses. They work and live in northern western lower Michigan. These men are wonderful at building houses and other projects.

Away it goes – pound, pound!
No rhythm to seam
of this hammer sound,
but one handsome team.

Their fame and glory
has seen very much
in more than one story
and a certain touch.

Soon they will be tired
and take a rest.
Electricians came and wired.
All did their best.

When it is time to say “bye”,
it will be hard not to cry.
