Young love that didn’t work out; musings on the short lived romance.

The goose tells tales of times

When the bear and the bunny played

Spinning special nursery rhymes

It’s too bad the bunny hadn’t stayed

One day dressed in her coat of black

Hit the gate to the great unknown

A future from her past kept coming back

Now the bear, confused, stands alone

In and out the garden they’d run

Paradise, sunshine, ring a promise of love

Even the rain seemed so much fun

Not a care of weather or clouds above

Bunny hopped into his arms one fine fall day

And the bear was covered in honey

She chased the blues so far away

Middle of the night the sky was sunny

And a pair they were, side by side

That bear he wore such a grin

She mended his fur and fixed his pride

Happiness? Wouldn’t know where to begin

But something told that bunny black

Life could be even better

Cried as she left the bear out back

He knew she was going and he let her

He would die some to be sure

That bunny was his everything

Tears stain his long dark fur

God only knows what the future will bring

But he knew she had to take a look

Everyone’s heard this tale

She already knew most of this book

Gotta finish it win or fail

So the bear smiled and bid her well

Choking back envisioned dreams

He’ll always have the tales to tell

When nothing was as it seems

The bear and the bunny had days

They can never be erased

In his mind her music plays

That bunny just can’t be replaced

Loved it. It makes me remember lost loves, and smile in the tears.
