True justice can be flouted by a false witness that can influence a credulous jury.
Poem:
Justice is mentioned glibly, yet
many a time it fails,
casting a shroud of disbelief –
the suffering it entails.
When justice bears its burden ,
based on the laws of fairness
it must get ready and equipped
with truth and keen awareness –
A process that should falter not,
nor lapse into neglect;
Before it should a verdict give
In truth and good effect.
A slip as bad as it might be,
Alas, could miss its mark;
Like shooting blunted arrows
Aimless, in the dark.
True justice sets itself apart
from falsehood and confusion,
away from the uncertainty
of dangerous disillusion.
