Nothing like working up a sweat.

Her darkened room protected her or so she had once thought

As through her blinds she peered at me, not expecting to get caught

While working in my backyard, I placed my shirt there on a chair

The sun had worn my skin to bronze, while sweat was on my hair

While tending all my chores through the better part of day

She must have stayed there watching me, her place, not give away

Yet, somehow on the back of me I had felt, there was a gaze

I often turned to look about, but no one, so amazed

Then, in the corner of my eyes, a shadow moved, I could see

A blind had shifted, then the curtain, oh who could this be?

I continued on, to not let on and circled my way around

Going just so ever quietly, not wanting to make a sound

When in the room, I thrust the door to find her standing there

She ran to me, so eagerly and ran her fingers through my hair

She told me she was watching me and couldn’t stop the stare

I told her it was quite alright as I really didn’t care

For why would I, when this wife of mine, so eagerly excites

Our passion that can overcome, it so easily ignites

Michael you know I like this one. I couldn’t have written it better myself. Love is grand and “so eagerly it ignites”!! Loved it…
