A poem about a girl who has a candy dream. She’s lost in a world of sweets only to awake to cookies baking.

The Candy Dream

Floating on a river made of dreams,

Lolly pops and swirling dandies,

Grasp the boat’s wings,

As they feel the emotion like candies,

I hop across the candy balls,

Slipping and falling into cream,

I walk up and touch graham cracker walls,

They crumble beneath my touch and I scream,

Pumpkin seeds come from below,

I ride across them to my destination,

There I see cookies lined in a row,

It feels like I’m in my dream vacation,

I can smell the aromas,

And as I was looking,

I awoke from my coma,

And I found cookies cooking.

I’m hungry for sweets now! It built a picture in my head, I like it!
