A Poem About A Hungry Cat.
Water, water, everywhere, I hate water
As he stares out in to the ocean blue
I sit in wonder as my lunch swims by
You, Seagulls, stop laughing at me
This is a disaster said the hungry cat
If only they made a fishing pole for cats
No true cat really likes food from a can
I’m not some pushover, I have my pride
The fisherman is reeling in another one
This is a disaster said the hungry cat
No one loves me, don’t say you care
Great, they brought the kids, just great
Go away, no, no I’m not the babysitter
Here I sit, no one can see my despair
This is a disaster said the hungry cat
I’m starving and they’re scaring the fish
Here kitty… kitty, this one is for you, enjoy
The gods of the sea have heard my cries
Oh, but wait please, just one, just one fish
This is a disaster said the hungry cat
