A day like Thanksgiving, when we rejoice
Is a good reminder of a choice.
Each and everyone of us always has
Between being thankful or thankless.
Just like there is a choice
To remain angry or wise.
Bitter or beautiful.
Miserable or merciful.
Just like there is a choice
To see negativity or nice.
Shortcomings or strengths
Scarcity or resources.
Just like there is a choice
To criticize or create.
Break or make.
Escape or face.
On the day, when the whole world,
Becomes all of a sudden mindful.
No matter whatever ever happened,
Let me choose to be grateful.
