Never responding with words…

The clown wears his
mask so very well-
What he feels you
can never tell.
His face exhibits what
the paint portrays-
Acting out
the part he plays.
What mysteries lie
beneath the facade?
Never responding with words
but a shake or a nod.
Always happy or
always sad-
Never can tell
if he’s angry or mad.
Is he lonely?
Does he feel pain?
Questions will never
cease to remain.
For the clown wear his mask
so no one will see-
Who the person beneath
the paint might be.

You made me take a second thought at what seems like a superficial figure in every child’s experience

Now aday people where masks without the paint. They are so 2-faced that you think that you are seeing the truth but you are seeing the fake.
