Jailbreak your mind.

The Colors of Madness

Sweet sloshing peppermint cane

Spiraling down the forever drain.

White and red join a sea of green

Mixing for such a lovely scene.

Throw in a little pinch of blue,

Perhaps a dash of yellow, too.

Maybe a small blot of gray,

Just a thought of a rainy day.

Let’s add a little vein of pink,

Watch it swirl then downward sink.

Such a beautiful rainbow to behold,

So far out of the average mold!

Swirling thoughts, oh so odd,

Yet stuck forever in that pod.

Just think how lucky you would be,

If that rainbow were one you could see.

Yet when you see it don’t look too hard,

Or down will fall your house of cards.

For if you stare, it is then that you’ll find.

The colors of madness that lurk in the mind.

Though if your world needs some color,

Step right in, lest it gets any duller.

A pinch of dementia will do you some good,

So come and try it, you know that you should.

In a world that’s so dull and mild,

Where everything is always sorted and filed,

In a world so heavily weighted with sadness,

Maybe we could all use a little madness.

So if you’re tired of a world so bland,

Where everything goes exactly as planned,

It’s time to escape that little card jail,

Just consider this your glorious bail.

Come and join me under this rainbow sky.

Where the madness reigns on high.

Here we can be in a grand romance,

Existing purely by whim and chance.

No one knows where the winds will blow,

Nor do they know where the madness will go.

This is your chance, the one and only.

In here you will never be lonely.

Here everyone knows your face.

You’ll be welcomed in this wondrous place.

So come step up and then step in,

Come join me where the madness begins.
