Have you ever watched a crab on the beach? It gets things done, but not on a fully face-on approach. It usually does so by going to the side and around obstacles.

THE CRAB
Beaches of rock, and
Beaches of sand,
They both go hand in hand;
A crab crawls free,
And looks asea,
Crawls sideways, passing me;
Obstacles in its way,
Never break its sway,
It just goes about its day;
It just goes around,
And crawls the ground,
Avoiding obstacles that abound;
So very unlike me,
Because that what I see,
I confront all with glee!
I take an ax to hew,
When ’stead I should take cue,
And probably skip a few.
