A Love Poem.

In silence, the night comes,

a-draped in silver light;

along the corridor of tomorrow,

waiting for her lover’s sight.

And upon seeing his demeanor,

she hides her face from eyes of man;

clinging tightly to his whisper,

that someday they’ll be hand in hand.

She moves beyond the veil, so smoothly

as if it were she’d never been;

her lover beams a smile so brightly,

they dance this dance that never ends.

And Luna and Sol go on forever,

amidst the stars they call their home;

as the Earth sits in silent wonder,

at the love of parents never known.

When the stars have all descended,

and the Universe is calm;

they will dance their final tango,

with a graceful, austere aplomb.

    There was a lunar eclipse recently. We didn’t see much of it here in the PI though.

    Thank you all for reading, I like this one as well, not really a stretch but just good old fashioned poetry.
