A poem about…the dark.

The dark; a void which envelopes everyone who shall cross its path.

The nemesis of light; By night it comes, by day it goes.

A power to be reckoned with; armed with the forces of night, the dark is a true nightmare.

By the corners of the streets lurk beasts of true horror, by the sky flies the ravens; the envoys of doom and disaster.

For you should stay in the light, and protect those who you care, for the dark cares for no one…

This poem has several problems that need to be clarify; one of them being; the light by night and by day gone. What kind of light do you have in mind here? Not of course natural light. The night is dark and the day is clear, not the other way around.

Go through the poem with care and try to see those odd moments in it. you can make this a good poem.

By the way, I`d like you to check me out on the site; woiuld you?

You have to read it twice to see the light.

  • Guy Hogan on Sep 3, 2009

I think there is more darkness in the human heart than there is in the night.

Very true guy, there is more evil in a human heart than in the world. I’ll make sure I write a poem about the beauty of darrkness. Thanks Mrs. Guest for commenting, and nice comment from you agriculi!

Well done, though to me I think the dark is warm and comforting. I love to sit in my swing on the dark porch at night and feel alone and secure, or go out and look up at all the moon and stars. As I said, dark is a lovely word to me.

  • Buma on Sep 5, 2009

Yes Ruby dark is a very warm entity to me as well, but in this poem I am writing about the dark and evil side of the dark.

  • Shamanz on Sep 5, 2009
