A poem about the darkness being within each of us.
It resides in each one of us– everyone,
It grips us in fear, a depth of blackness,
Every day — it’s there,
Every day, pulling you further, into the abyss.
There is no light here — No bright horizon,
To remain here is to remain in fear — Living, in despair.
It stays in your mind, oppressing,
It is increasing, depressing.
The simple slice, North to South,
A warmth across your body,
From north to south,
The abyss — nearing,
The end is close,
It’s not as easy as an over — dose,
The darkness enguffless you — consuming, you,
The darkness is you
