(My Heart Stood Still)
In the recesses of my heart
A pain there resides,
From a misunderstanding
The pain subsides.
Of promises that were made
And yet to be kept,
It has been days
Since I have slept.
A love I feel, that is lost
And won’t ever regain,
Oh God, please
I ask You, to ease my pain.
I am so confused
Of what has took place,
There’s not a dry eye
That stares from this face.
The only love I felt
That was meant to be,
Has gone out of my life
She’s not there for me.
I have tried many times
To ease my woes,
But my love for her
God only knows.
This was the day
My heart stood still,
It seems like I have lost
All of my will.
Is she coming back
Or do I live with the pain,
Time will tell
If I ever hear from her again.
