A poem about the fact that sometimes winning isn’t everything in life.

Not only had the fight been lost

But nevermore would we hold our thoughts

Our minds our bodys our souls collide

and deep on the inside we tried to hide

we knew we were gone

for a second it was okay

until we remembered it was a fateful day

yes we had lost

and the triumph we would not share

but we still had each other

that was only fair

we couldn’t simply loose

because what had we lost

no deaths or accidents had we crossed

we simply were running

playing the game

if we had lost

we felt no pain
