Like the rolling thunder, of a blazing summer night
Came the streaking lightning-like warriors fight
They struck the heart of the enemy
To uphold the general’s decree
To wipe out that communist allegiance
Is this the democracy we’ve heard so much about?
Or is it just another cover- up to get what you want out
of my land!
The destructive force left all washed
But, they left without success
With the rain came the bombs like hell out of the sky
To overwhelm the Vietcong of Ho Chi Minh

The days go by,
the people were left wondering
Pillaged, raped, left senseless,
Confused and angry,
Asking for help from above, unsure of what they did wrong……..
