A light hearted poem in verse about the dangers of a doctor’s waiting room.

Sitting in a room that’s full of people sniffing and coughing; Everyone with a miserable face not a single person laughing: All looking glum full of woe with all the problems on every score; With arms and legs all in extreme pain and stomachs O so sore: Pregnant women being sick and screaming kids to add; Every illness and disability a place where they’re all sad: They can all talk and moan sit sharing all their gloom; Along with all the others just sharing tales of doom: By the time people do go home they feel even more depressed; Their illnesses or disabilities are in a far worse mess: There’s nothing more like a day of gloom to make life be a curse; These individual stories that all make your condition feel much worse: If you want to be upset and feel far worse than you are; Don’t enter into this sort of area show yourself some care: Better use common sense and steer clear of areas like this; Listening to other tales of woe do not create some bliss: When people are sick the one place they run is to a doctor’s waiting room; One they enter wherever such rooms others germs and diseases loom: You might go in feeling low and looking and hoping for a cure; I don’t know what the answer is but it’s not a waiting room for sure:
