A wandering heart.
I’ve become numb
I’ve become cold
Not even rum
Has got me sold
I’ve lost my will
I’ve lost my heart
I find no thrill
In playing this part
Like an actor
It’s just a role
I can’t find the factor
That will make me whole
No matter the part
I try to play
I can’t find the heart
That wants to stay
I’ve looked high and low
I’ve searched far and wide
But no matter where I go
No one wants to be my bride
So I guess I’m alone
Until the day I die
I won’t find the home
For which I always try
My heart wanders the streets
In search of something it will never meet
