Poem.

The earth shook beneath my feet,
Buildings crumbled where doors did greet,
Windows shattered all around the street,
Help they cried,
But all did run,
The sound so loud,
Like a rumbling drum,

Shaking all around,
Buildings falling down,
Shaking ground,
The sound the sound,
Of the ground,

Children cried,
People moaned, under the rubble they did go,
Help they cried,
But no one came, they were buried alive today,

The ground did crack,
Waters rose, a wave so high
Above my nose,
The wave that nearly touched the sky,
And it covered the buildings high,

The earth shook today,
And the buildings all gave way,
People ran away when the earth shook today.
