Standing on the edge of panic, looking into the whirling vortex of hysterics,

You take a deep breath and step back from the edge.

With heart pounding intensity and will made of iron, You move away from that edge and pull it together.

You are strong, Woman.  You own yourself.

The lighting flashes and thunder rolls, but its growing fainter now.  The vortex is receding as you grow stronger.  You. Will. Win.

Sheer force of will push back the panic.

No time for hysterics.  Not today.

You have become the Amazon and she will take over for awhile.

She will face the ones you love and drive your life so you can curl up in your safe place, drawing on her strength until it is your own.  You emerge, renewed, strengthened and ready to take over.

You see on the horizon the faint flashes, but know, for now, they remain at bay.

No one witnesses the transformation as the Amazon slips away and you resume your rightful place.  Now in control and ready to face whatever life will bring.

You acknowledge her as she gracefully exits, knowing she will come again, if you are once again, on the edge of panic.
