One of my earlier poems written during my university days about a girl I used to have a crush on.

I feel bitter, not because Hate conquers the world,

But because I have too much Love, like an overflowing vessel,

The rendezvous that started the whole chase,

With her charmingly meticulous ways,

Captivates me and leaves me dazed,

Such is the beauty in her,

If God willing, I have found my significant other,

But for how long will she be the elusive girl?

Aw… those were the days. I haven’t kept any early poetry sadly.

From my own personal experience, it’s better to be the elusive girl. It wins most men’s heart. She might be interested and is playing very hard to get. Why don’t you turn things around a bit. Instead of pursuing her, now you’re the challenge and watch how she will change her reaction to you. When it comes to love and relationships, everything is psychology. best of luck.

A very lovely poem. I once knew a guy like that, my elusive dream and I have never found out how the dream ended because we both went our separate ways. My life has been okay. I wonder about his and still think about him off and on. I like this poem.

Nicely done and written. I can relate totally. It’s always tough when you have a crush on a woman and she doesn’t even know. Thanks for sharing.
