The Emotional Disconnect

Emotional disconnects hurt many people in relationships and sometimes it can attract some amount of empathy from an onlooker.

But how fair maiden should I know your name

And gladly choose my dream

When you don’t know my name?

Why should I abandon my secular program

And attend a function just to catch a glimpse of you

Who wouldn’t take note of me even when you met me?

Why should I not know sleep for two years now

Just because your image is ever before me

When my image is never before you?
