A poem about writing.

Here lies an empty page waiting to be written on.

Blank and void of thought, with only lines drawn.

Yearning for an idea to rest within its borders.

Even a simple sketch or grocery list orders.

A song or sonnet would be nice to fill the space.

Maybe a poem of beauty to enthrall with its grace.

A letter to a loved one would be welcomed here,

Filled with good news, happiness and cheer.

But domant it lies waiting through the ages,

Until some thought comes to fill empty pages.

A yearned for pen caress that will linger there,

To offer up something the author wants to share.
