A new season arrives tomorrow.

Image via Wikipedia

Another year is almost over,

a new season arrives tomorrow.

Summer’s last day is today,

the weekend has come and gone.

The days are starting to grow shorter,

the warmth will slip away to Autumn’s chill.

The leaves will change colors,

the flowers will wilt and die.

Soon the frost will be upon us,

followed by the cold of Winter.

I didn’t realise the date. It is the first day of autumn today. Your poem explains so well what we can expect from the seasons.

I really liked your poem! Since there were some pretty hot days here, I am looking forward to a cool down. I don’t want to rake up leaves though. LOL!
