They are a rare breed and must be treated in the way to which they have become accustomed.

An English gent, if you can find a real one

Is the sort of chap that’s never agitated

He will stand his ground amid the fiercest battle

Resolute, until the fighting has abated

An English gent is never ever flustered

But there’s one thing that always makes him wild

His spotted dick must only come with custard

The kind he had when he was still a child

The English gent will rally when the call comes

Will die just to defend the greater good

March off to the beating of the war drums

Just as long as you serve custard with his pud
