Poem from the mind of a complex person.

The Epiphany

You’ve told me what to do.

And I followed the orders.

I stayed within your borders.

Just to please you.

I kept my hands locked in your cuffs.

Never tryed to be reserected.

I simply accepted

That I had it tough.

You told me to stay home.

You gave me some chips and the remote,

And said you would constanly gloat,

But my confusion could never be shown.

That’s not going to happen anymore.

Yell, lie, kick and scream.

Make jokes until your faces beam.

But I’m leaving your rules at the door.

This world is mine.

This personal revolution

Is the only solution

And you should just get in line.

I’m marching to the beat of the drums I bang on.

I want to see you cover your ears,

Ruin your radio and hatefully jeer.

Cause how I fight back is what you judge a man on.
